Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a Chemistry Biomedical Scientist at Band 5 for Dundee area, working in a busy Blood Sciences department based at Ninewells Hospital. The role includes Biochemistry specialisation and potential for Out of Hours duties, with training towards HCPC registration as needed.

The post is a 1-year fixed term/secondment, with development opportunities and a supportive team in a modern laboratory environment at NHS Tayside and surrounding sites.

Qualifications

• You must be HCPC registered or training towards HCPC registration.
• Post qualification professional development is encouraged and supported.
• Hours of work are 36 per week.

Responsibilities

• Specialise in Biochemistry within the Blood Sciences Department.
• Work in a fully refurbished state of the art laboratory.
• Contribute to Drugs of Abuse testing, metabolic disorders and protein analysis.
