Job summary

IntraHealth Ltd in Manchester is seeking an Immunisation Nurse to deliver nasal and intramuscular vaccines within community and educational settings, adhering to the Green Book guidelines and local specifications.

You will work with a team including administrators and school staff, leading immunisation sessions and ensuring safety, accuracy and CPD. The role covers NHS Primary and Community Care services and requires current UK nursing registration.

Job summary

The Immunisation Nurse works as a member of the Immunisation Team, delivering nasal and intramuscular flu and other vaccine programmes within community and educational settings in accordance with Department of Health Green Book against Immunisation and Local Services Specifications.

The role will involve working closely with the administration team and school staff.

Main duties of the job

Clinical Practice

• Practise infection-control measures according to local and national guidelines.

• Work in accordance with GDPR policy.
• Ensure all patient records are clear and recorded accurately and stored as per procedures.
• Understand the responsibility of self and others regarding the Freedom of Information Act.

Learning and Development

• Undertake all mandatory and statutory training requirements.
• Be responsible for own learning needs and continuing professional development.
