JOB DETAILS:

Job title: Registered Health Professional (HCP)

Contract: Bank.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

JOB PURPOSE:
The post holder will be responsible for undertaking clinical duties related to immunisation, primarily delivered on-site in schools for children of primary and secondary levels within community clinic settings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Vaccinate 20 to 25 school children per hour during flu season.
  • Collaborate with team, organization, and stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Promote and support the operation of our School Aged Immunisation Service.
  • Support Programme Managers, Team Lead, and Clinical Lead as needed.
  • Attend sites across different locations as applicable.
  • Provide effective, evidence-based care to patients.
  • Participate in clinical supervision and staff development.
  • Report and monitor clinical incidents, near misses, and complaints according to organizational policies.
  • Participate in audits, recommend improvements, and share outcomes for learning.
  • Attend clinical supervision with the Clinical Lead.
  • Contribute actively to team meetings.
  • Undertake Gillick Competency Assessments and obtain verbal consent from parents and caregivers.
  • Perform other duties as appropriate for the role.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
  • Registered with relevant professional councils (GPhC, HCPC, GDC, GOC) depending on the profession.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Experience working within PGD frameworks.
  • Knowledge of the Routine National Immunisation schedule.
  • Understanding of informed consent principles.
  • Current immunisation training or willingness to undertake training.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Knowledge of immunisation schedules, cold chain, ordering, and transport logistics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Customer service and people management abilities.
  • Assertiveness, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
  • Driving license (desirable).
