Job summary

Our client seeks an experienced Immigration Solicitor to join the team in Bedford, offering office-based or hybrid working. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload across Business and Private Immigration, advising on visas, sponsor licences and settlement matters.

You will handle a broad range of immigration issues, including citizenship, Human Rights and asylum, with strong drafting, client care, and IT skills to support deadlines and complex cases.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales.
• Minimum 3 years' PQE in Immigration Law.
• Experience across Business and Private Immigration.
• Ability to manage an independent caseload.
• Strong knowledge of current immigration law and procedure.
• Excellent drafting and written communication skills.
• Strong client care and interpersonal skills.
• Good IT skills.
• Strong organisational skills and deadline management.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on a broad range of UK immigration matters.
• Handle Business, work, student, family and visitor visa applications.
• Assist with Sponsor Licence applications and compliance.
• Provide guidance on migrant employees and settlements/ILR.
• Advise on visa extensions and British citizenship applications.
• Handle Human Rights and asylum matters, deportation cases, and Subject Access Requests.
• Support EEA applications and related processes.

The role will comprise of advising clients across both Business and Private Immigration matters. The role offers office-based or hybrid working and would suit a solicitor with a strong track record of managing their own caseload.

The Role

• Business, work, student, family and visitor visas
• Sponsor Licence applications
• Advice to businesses on migrant employees
• Settlement and Indefinite Leave to Remain applications
• Visa extension applications
• British Citizenship applications
• Human Rights and Asylum matters
• Deportation and removal cases
• Subject Access Requests
• EEA applications

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
• Minimum 3 years' PQE in Immigration Law
• Strong experience across both Business and Private Immigration
• Proven ability to manage an independent caseloadExcellent knowledge of current immigration law and procedure
