Qualifications

• Experience handling pre-action protocol correspondence and judicial review challenges.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage casework with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assess challenges in pre-action protocol and judicial review against immigration law and policy.
• Respond to pre-action protocol correspondence and coordinate with operational areas for remedy.
• Escalate policy or procedural issues from litigation and related claims.
• Instruct government lawyers to determine course of action in managing litigation and approve grounds of defence.
• Support lawyers at hearings, including arranging witness statements as needed.
• Decide on settlement of litigation and obtain necessary financial authorisation.
• Maintain accurate records across IT systems.
