Job summary

Jobtailor in the United Kingdom is seeking a Lighting Artist to collaborate with Art Leadership and other disciplines to create immersive environments for our games.

You will set up lighting for levels, implement dynamic and baked lighting, and work with the art team to ensure lighting enhances the overall artistic vision. A strong portfolio and Unreal Engine proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Lighting Artist in the games industry or a strong portfolio showcasing relevant work.
• Solid understanding of lighting principles and colour theory
• Proficiency with industry-standard lighting tools, particularly in Unreal Engine or similar software
• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from senior artists
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Passion for creating immersive gaming experiences

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Art Leadership and other disciplines to create compelling and immersive environments.
• Set up lighting for levels and create lightmaps.
• Implement both dynamic and baked lighting solutions.
