Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Sourcing Administrator to join a growing industrial consumables and supply chain team in Tyseley, Birmingham. You will support the Sourcing Manager with sourcing, supplier pricing and tender preparation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sourcing/Commercial/Purchasing Administrator or similar.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of industrial products or distribution environments.
• Desire to secure a long-term career opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Support the Sourcing Manager with sourcing and commercial activities.
• Obtain costs and supplier information to support customer quotations and tenders.
• Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to source products and obtain best pricing.
• Load manually received orders onto the ERP system.
• Ensure customer quotations are completed accurately and returned within agreed timescales.
• Research suitable product alternatives where required.
• Monitor and action customer enquiries.
• Maintain supplier and product data within the ERP system.
• Support vendor classification and supplier management activities.
• Monitor pricing accuracy and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Work closely with procurement, customer service and commercial teams.
• Ensure sourcing information and quotations remain accurate and up to date.
