Job summary

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a successful 11-18 secondary school with sixth form in Oxfordshire for an enthusiastic and adaptable PE Teacher. This role is due to start immediately after half-term and is initially expected to run for two weeks, with a strong likelihood of being extended until at least the end of the month.

The ideal candidate will deliver PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, maintain high standards of behaviour, and support students in developing physical skills,

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is desirable.
• Experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Flexible and adaptable approach.
• Ability to quickly build positive relationships with students.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Deliver PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement.
• Support students in developing physical skills, teamwork, and confidence.
• Ensure a safe and positive learning environment during practical activities.
• Follow existing schemes of work and lesson resources provided by the school.
