Job summary

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Radiographer to join its Imaging team. The post involves producing high quality diagnostic radiographs and supporting the department with training and CPD activities.

You will work within the Imaging team across general, screening, casualty, mobile and theatre radiography, ensuring patient safety and high standards of care, with opportunities for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Produce high quality images to assist diagnosis and treatment.
• Follow Radiation Protection guidelines and local rules.
• Assist with training of student radiographers.
• Adhere to Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

Responsibilities

• Undertake radiographic duties to a high standard.
• Ensure patients receive a high standard of care.
• Be conversant with routine procedures in general, screening, casualty, mobile and theatre radiography.
• Assist with practical training of student radiographers.
• Communicate with staff to ensure smooth department operation.
• Adhere to Radiation Protection guidelines and local rules.
• Contribute to departmental quality assurance programmes.
• Report and record equipment faults.
• Participate in on-call and stand-by rotas.
• Undertake other duties as appropriate to the post.
• Offer initial assessment and interpretation of images.
• Comply with safe manual handling techniques.
• Comply with infection control measures.
