Job summary

The Thornbury Hospital in Sheffield, part of Circle Health Group, is seeking a Patient Administrator to join the Administration department on a 24.5 hour per week, permanent basis.

The role supports the patient journey, handles bookings, mail, and queries with a focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and health and safety compliance. The package includes 25 days holiday plus additional benefits.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grades A–C or equivalent
• Proficient in using a PC and office software
• Experience in private healthcare administration is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the smooth running of the patient administrative process throughout the patient journey.
• Follow best-practice process maps to provide a standard service to patients, visitors, consultants and staff.
• Handle all patient queries efficiently and professionally.
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
• Approve electronic bookings and update bookings via email.
• Maintain Health and Safety knowledge and ensure appropriate measures for patients, staff and visitors.
• Complete mandatory training as required.
