Job summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust in Birmingham is seeking Imaging Department Assistants for Good Hope Hospital to join a busy, patient‑focused team. You will support radiographers and other staff to maintain a safe, respectful patient environment and help move patients to and from examination rooms.

Applicants should have NVQ Level 2 or equivalent and previous clinical experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent Trust based competency.
• Previous clinical experience in a healthcare setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with radiographers and prioritise patients.
• Assist radiographers, assistant practitioners and Radiologists when undertaking imaging examinations of patients.
• Communicate with patients and carers in difficult circumstances.
• Coordinate patient visits with wards and transport when arranging for out patients to return home.
