An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Ultrasound Team as an Imaging Department Assistant Lead
The successful applicant is required to provide a supportive role to the Ultrasound team and have previous IDA experience, ensuring the delivery of an efficient and effective service. You will work as part of the team to give the best quality of service by assisting sonographers, nurses and medical staff by carrying out non-radiographic clinical and non-clinical tasks within the Maternity and General Medical Ultrasound Departments throughout the Imaging Directorate.
A caring, co-operative and flexible approach to working practices is required whilst maintaining a professional attitude for the dignity and well-being of the patient. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required with experience of direct patient care desirable but not essential.
Leading the Imaging department assistants, providing training, auditing, sterile trolley training, assisting in our inpatient department with inpatient flow.
Confidentiality is vitally important and basic computer knowledge/skills are essential along with the ability to work as part of a team.
The Ultrasound Department provides a 7 day service with hours between 8.30 am and 8pm across both Royal Stoke and County sites and multiple community units. - for this reason it is essential that the post holder is a vehicle owner and has a full driving license.
