Job summary

Michael Page seeks a Senior Financial Reporting Manager (Technical Accounting) in London to own the technical accounting assessment and IFRS interpretation for complex initiatives. You will lead statutory reporting, manage external audits, and communicate accounting policy changes to senior stakeholders.

You will influence governance processes, develop reporting controls, and translate regulatory arrangements into clear accounting treatments, while operating in a flexible hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CA or equivalent.
• Strong IFRS knowledge with ability to interpret complex standards.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts for large organisations.
• Proven track record in managing external audits.
• Excellent communication and ability to present technical issues to non-technical audiences.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical accounting assessment of new initiatives and changes across the organisation.
• Research, interpret and apply IFRS standards to complex matters, producing clear papers.
• Own the preparation of statutory financial statements and ensure compliance.
• Lead year-end and interim audits, liaising with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare high-quality papers and presentations for senior leadership and governance forums.
• Support development and enhancement of financial reporting processes, controls, and disclosures.
• Translate complex regulatory arrangements into appropriate accounting treatments.
