Job summary

Goodman Masson is partnering with a global life reinsurer to hire a Manager-level reporting actuary based in London or Toronto. The role focuses on IFRS 17 and Canadian regulatory capital, supporting a portfolio across longevity and retirement solutions, with international exposure.

You will own local reporting interpretation, explain movements in earnings, reserves and capital to senior stakeholders, and help shape the reporting capability as the business grows, including potential team

Qualifications

• The candidate is a qualified actuary with at least 3 years PQE in life insurance/reinsurance reporting.
• Strong IFRS 17 knowledge and ability to interpret local reporting results.
• Experience with regulatory capital frameworks is valuable (LICAT exposure helpful).

Responsibilities

• Own interpretation and analysis of local reporting results and movements in earnings, reserves and capital.
• Explain reporting movements to senior stakeholders and governance bodies.
• Shape and improve reporting capability, processes and controls.
• Possibly build and lead a team; serve as country lead for Canadian reporting (London or Toronto) and Australian business.
