Job summary

Global Life Reinsurer is seeking a Manager-level actuary to lead Canadian and international reporting, focusing on IFRS 17 and regulatory capital requirements. You will interpret local results, explain movements in earnings and capital, and provide clear insights to senior stakeholders.

The role offers ownership of the reporting development as the business grows, with potential to build a team and expand international exposure, including Australia.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary with 3+ years PQE and strong life insurance/reinsurance reporting experience.
• Good understanding of IFRS 17; LICAT experience useful.
• Experience across longevity, annuities, pension risk transfer or funded solutions.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze local reporting results and explain movements in earnings, reserves and capital to senior stakeholders.
• Shape the reporting capability and drive process improvements and controls as the business expands geographically.
• Potentially build out a team over time and take ownership as a country lead for Canadian reporting (London or Toronto) with ownership for Australian reporting.
