Job summary

Kingfisher plc is seeking a Platform Engineer to evolve and strengthen identity services through engineering, automation and platform modernisation. The role focuses on secure access and identity management across the estate, with a move towards a future Identity Governance platform.

The position supports 12 days per month in the office, with travel between sites as required, and a hybrid working model to balance collaboration and focus time.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and understanding of Identity Governance platforms and services.
• Experience analysing information and solving complex technical challenges.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Sound judgement and the ability to make effective technical decisions with available information.
• Collaborative approach and experience working with cross-functional teams, suppliers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engineering improvements, upgrades, migrations and technical refresh activities aligned to the Identity Governance roadmap.
• Engineer and support identity lifecycle, provisioning, access governance and automation across the identity estate.
• Develop, maintain and enhance Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) and associated identity integrations.
• Support the modernisation of identity services and the transition to Kingfisher's future Identity Governance platform.
• Create reusable automation, APIs, connectors, workflows and integrations to improve efficiency, scalability and consistency.
• Apply robust engineering practices across development, testing, source control, documentation and release management while reducing technical debt through standardisation and automation.
• Collaborate with platform, security, directory engineering, supplier and application teams to deliver secure, resilient and supportable identity services; assist in root-cause analysis.
