Job summary

Sword Group is seeking an experienced IAM professional to drive hands-on delivery of an identity transformation across the estate. You will consolidate two Entra ID environments post-merger, retire the legacy setup, and strengthen identity security ahead of a global cloud migration.

You will work with the Platform, Cloud & Identity Manager, the in-house team and MSP partners to deliver secure, scalable identity capabilities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in identity and access management, ideally in Microsoft Entra ID environments.
• Hands-on delivery of a consolidation or migration between identity tenants (post-merger).
• Strong Entra ID skills: CA, MFA, PIM, app registrations, B2B, Entra Connect/Cloud Sync, hybrid AD.
• Experience automating joiner/mover/leaver with HR and ITSM systems (ServiceNow) and implementing RBAC.
• Knowledge of SAML, OIDC, OAuth, SCIM, and scripting with PowerShell/Microsoft Graph.
• Clear technical documentation skills and experience working with MSPs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, sequence and execute identity changes end to end across the estate.
• Implement recommendations from IAM assessment and deliver improvements.
• Migrate users, groups, applications/SSO, guest accounts, devices and services to Entra ID.
• Prepare cut-over and rollback plans and decommission legacy environment.
• Configure and harden Entra ID ahead of cloud migration: CA, MFA, app integrations, Entra Connect/Cloud Sync, hybrid AD.
• Automate joiner/mover/leaver with HR and ITSM; implement access reviews and RBAC.
• Implement privileged access controls (PIM) and identity prerequisites for cloud platforms (Azure RBAC).
• Produce identity documentation, standards and runbooks; provide audit evidence.
• Transfer knowledge to in-house team and MSP to sustain capability.
