Rexel UK Ltd is seeking an IAM Analyst to maintain secure access and identity controls in a fixed-term 9‑month role at our Birmingham head office. You will manage the lifecycle of user access, governance, and automation improvements in a hybrid setup with two days at home.

This role focuses on least privilege, audits, and process optimization. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, SSO and MFA, plus familiarity with ITIL and documentation best

Qualifications

• IAM Analyst experience in a similar environment with joiner/mixer/leaver lifecycle.
• Experience managing high-volume access requests and workflow queues.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and access governance best practices.
• Hands-on use of Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, SSO and MFA.
• Ability to maintain technical documentation and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Manage user access across joiner, mover and leaver lifecycle with provisioning and de-provisioning.
• Review access requests in line with least privilege and security policies.
• Handle IAM tickets through the enterprise system and meet SLAs.
• Support regular access reviews, certifications and audits.
• Identify gaps and help automate IAM processes.
• Maintain accurate IAM documentation and guidance materials.

We are currently seeking a motivated Identity and Access Management (IAM) Analyst to maintain the security and integrity of our organisational data. In this role, you will ensure appropriate user access, effective identity controls, and compliance, while actively supporting the continuous improvement and automation of our IAM processes.

Please note, this role will be on a 9 month fixed term basis. Working a hybrid model with 2 days at home and 3 days in head office (Birmingham B26), Monday - Friday 8.30am -5pm.

Job Description

• Lifecycle & Access Management: Manage user access throughout the Joiner, Mover, and Leaver lifecycle, ensuring accurate and timely provisioning, role changes, and de-provisioning.


• Access Governance: Review and process access requests in compliance with security policies and the principle of least privilege.


• Operational Support: Manage IAM requests through the enterprise ticketing system, resolving queries within agreed SLAs.


• Compliance and Audit: Support user access reviews, certification campaigns, and audit activities.


• Process Improvement: Identify access control gaps and process inefficiencies, contributing to workflow automation and standardization.


• Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation, SOPs, and user guidance.

• Previous experience as an IAM Analyst within a similar-sized / matrix organisation


• Proven experience managing high-volume queues through an enterprise ticketing system


• Hands-on experience with Joiner, Mover and Leaver processes


• Experience supporting regular User Access Reviews
  
• Knowledge of ITIL processes, ideally with an ITIL Foundation qualification


• Working knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD / Entra ID, SSO and MFA


• Understanding of information security, audit requirements and least privilege


• Experience maintaining technical documentation, SOPs and knowledge articles
