Job summary

Ripple is building a unified identity experience across its payments, custody, and liquidity products. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will set the technical direction for the identity platform, including authentication flows and provider federation, while building reliable platform services on Kubernetes.

You will collaborate with security, compliance, and product teams to translate regulatory requirements into platform capabilities and mentor engineers through reviews and design discussions.

Qualifications

• Backend experience with Golang or Java and production apps.
• Experience designing or contributing to identity systems (multi-tenant or federated).
• Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants / LLM tools in engineering workflows.
• Experience writing design documents and collaborating across teams.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for Ripple's identity platform, including auth flows and federation across providers.
• Lead the design and delivery of a unified identity experience across Ripple's product portfolio.
• Build and operate platform services on Kubernetes with reliability and observability.
• Partner with security, compliance, and product teams to translate regulatory requirements into platform capabilities.
• Write clear technical proposals and contribute to architecture discussions.
• Mentor engineers through code review, design feedback, and collaboration.
