Job summary

Ripple is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for their Authentication and Authorization platform. You will shape identity across a growing portfolio of payment, custody, and liquidity products, moving toward a unified, consistent experience while building fine-grained authorization primitives.

We use AI tooling to drive development; you will mentor engineers and translate regulatory requirements into platform capabilities, partnering with security and product teams to deliver reliable, scalable

Qualifications

• Backend experience in Golang or Java, running production apps in Kubernetes.
• Designing or contributing to identity systems, ideally multi-tenant or federated.
• Hands-on use of AI coding assistants and LLM-based tools in daily work.
• Experience collaborating across teams and writing design docs for alignment.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for Ripple's identity platform, including authentication flows and federation across providers.
• Lead the design and delivery of a unified identity experience across the product portfolio.
• Build and operate platform services on Kubernetes with reliability and security in mind.
• Partner with security, compliance, and product teams to translate regulatory needs into capabilities.
• Write technical proposals and contribute to architecture discussions; mentor engineers.
