Dorset Police is seeking an experienced IT Training and Learning & Development professional to deliver IT training across the Alliance, ensuring standards and licensing provisions are met. You will lead on Digital Projects and the transformation of L&D in line with the Policing Vision 2025.
The role requires coordinating Digital Co-Ordinators and ICT Training Supervisors, providing expert advice to senior management, and driving adoption of digital delivery methods.
Salary: £45,765 rising to £50,949 per annum, + Excellent Benefits including Government Pension
Please note that the above salary is based on working 37 hours per week. If this role is part-time or you are appointed on a part-time basis your salary will be prorated to reflect this.Exceptions to starting salary may apply if you are an existing Devon & Cornwall or Dorset Police Staff employee substantively posted to a role at the same Scale.
Location: Hybrid working, based at the following location(s): Ferndown Police Station (EH), Police Headquarters, Exeter, Police Headquarters, Winfrith, Dorset
Hours per week: This role is 34 hours per week. However, we welcome applications from individuals wishing to work on a part-time basis and we are willing to consider flexible working patterns subject to business need.
The post holder will have responsibility for the delivery of IT Training across the Alliance ensuring that force training is maintained at the appropriate standards and linked licensing provisions and requirements are met. They will carry out extensive research and interpretation in respect of the qualification standards of awarding organisations/bodies. They will provide professional advice to Senior Managers for the design, implementation and management of qualifications.
The role will also be responsible for the broader delivery of the Learning and Development Digital Strategy and the force lead for the transformation of L&D in line with the Policing Vision 2025. This will include leading on the management and implementation of Digital Projects across the portfolio including the scope, planning, delivery, resourcing and budgetary aspects and tracking benefits and evaluating outcomes of these products.
The post holder will have significant experience of influencing stakeholders to change culture and working practices to ensure adoption of learning and development material via digital platforms and innovative delivery methods.
The post holder will lead, co-ordinate and manage the Digital Co-Ordinators and ICT Training Supervisors in their business areas across the Alliance, ensuring effective, consistent and quality professional development is delivered across a range of Qualification/Assessment requirements, reporting to the Alliance Governance & Design Manager.
