Job summary

St Augustine's RC High School in Edinburgh is seeking an ICT Technician to support teaching with ICT equipment, including Smart Boards, iPads and PCs. 30 hours per week across 39 weeks per year, with a pro rata salary of £30,188–£34,452. The role requires initiative and the ability to work with all school staff to improve educational ICT provision.

The post is regulated work with children, with PVG checks required. Flexible approaches to working patterns may be discussed.

St Augustine's RC High School is a diverse and comprehensive secondary school in Edinburgh, the school roll is around 1050 pupils.

The ideal candidate will be confident in directing and organising their own work so as best to support teaching in the school. You should be confident in the preparation, distribution and troubleshooting of a range of ICT equipment including Smart Boards, iPads, PCs, etc..

This is an active role - we are seeking someone who will take initiative, identify areas for improvement in provision and act upon them. You will enjoy working proactively with all members of the school staff to help provide the best possible educational experience for the students.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. Anunconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
