Job summary

Academics is seeking an ICT Teacher to work in an independent SEMH and Trauma-informed setting in Retford. You will deliver personalised ICT lessons to a small group of pupils aged 6-16, with plans adapted to EHCP targets and sensory learning approaches.

The role requires QTS or equivalent, experience with SEMH/SEN needs, and an enhanced DBS. The position offers a competitive daily rate (£145-£210) paid weekly and ongoing CPD support from a dedicated consultant.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching learners with SEMH/SEN needs.
• Understanding of Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and related needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver personalised ICT lessons.
• Adapt learning to EHCP targets.
• Support pupils with SEN including ASC, ADHD and SEMH.
• Promote positive behaviour and independence.
• Collaborate with support staff and therapists.
• Follow safeguarding procedures.
• Maintain a calm, nurturing environment.
