Intertek in Farnborough is seeking an ICP-MS Analyst to join the Fuels & Lubricants laboratory. You will prepare and analyze fuel, lubricant, oil and related petroleum samples using ICP-MS and related analytical techniques, ensuring accuracy, safety and timely results in a fast-paced commercial environment.
You will develop and validate methods, interpret data, advise clients on testing approaches, and maintain calibration and quality systems in line with international standards.
We have an exciting new opportunity for a motivated ICP-MS Analyst to join our Fuels & Lubricants laboratory based in Farnborough. You will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of fuel, lubricant, oil and related petroleum-based samples using Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) and associated analytical techniques.
You are a detail-oriented and motivated analytical chemist with practical experience in ICP-MS and a strong interest in fuels, lubricants and petroleum products. You take pride in producing accurate, reliable results and are confident with sample preparation, instrument operation and troubleshooting.
The role focuses on ICP-MS analysis of environmental samples, method development and validation. Working within a fast-paced commercial laboratory environment, you will ensure that analytical testing is performed safely, accurately and efficiently, while meeting customer requirements, laboratory quality standards and relevant international testing methods. The role will suit an analytical chemist with experience in ICP-MS who is looking to develop their technical expertise within the fuels, lubricants and petroleum testing industry.
