Job summary

The BBC Finance and Operations team is seeking an ICFR Control Specialist to support the ICFR Manager in implementing the BBC ICFR framework and assessing Financial Reporting risk across the organisation, while ensuring high governance standards.

Based in London or Cardiff with hybrid working, you will contribute to ICFR testing, control design, remediation, and reporting for governance forums, supporting the annual attestation process and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Qualified or Part Qualified accountant with relevant ICFR/SOX knowledge.
• Good knowledge of ICFR/SOX frameworks and audit principles.
• Experience in supporting finance projects with a risk perspective.
• Ability to translate financial requirements to non-ICFR stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of a robust ICFR framework.
• Assist process workshops documenting in-scope Financial Statement Lines (FSLIs).
• Understand processes, risks and controls to challenge process and control owners.
• Conduct walkthroughs and control design effectiveness testing; document transactions to GL.
• Support remediation of control deficiencies with SME support.
• Assist ICFR reporting for forums and committees.
• Support the annual ICFR attestation/certification process.
