Job summary

Fred Perry is seeking an RPG Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain IBM i–based business applications using RPG, CL, and SQL. You will analyze requirements, code solutions, and ensure smooth integration with ERP/CRM systems.

You will collaborate with analysts and other developers, participate in upgrades and modernization, maintain documentation, and support deployment while upholding security and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• Proven experience with IBM i technologies and RPG/SQL.
• Experience with DB2/400 and DDS-based files.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance IBM i applications to meet business needs.
• Analyze, design, code, test, and implement RPG/CL/SQL programs on IBM i.
• Develop and optimize CL programs, SQL queries, and data access routines.
• Collaborate with analysts and developers to refine requirements.
• Support integration between IBM i apps and ERP/CRM/web services.
• Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and modernization projects.
• Ensure security, data integrity and change management compliance.
• Provide user support and document resolutions.
