Job summary

The IFRS Foundation in London is seeking a qualified accountant to support the IASB’s work plan. You will conduct research on technical accounting issues, develop papers and present them to the IASB, engage with stakeholders, and contribute to drafting new or amended IFRS Standards.

The role requires strong IFRS knowledge, ability to work with cross‑functional teams, and effective communication to diverse international stakeholders.

• Qualified accountant with strong IFRS knowledge.
• Experience applying IFRS standards and the Conceptual Framework.
• Ability to draft papers and present to IASB.

• Contribute to development of technical proposals for IASB consideration.
• Draft public Board papers and documents for consultation.
• Engage with external stakeholders to gather views and share information.
• Provide general project support to senior staff and the IASB.
• Contribute to relevant committees and working groups.

Job description

Job Purpose

To support the delivery of the IASB’s work plan. This will include, but is not limited to, conducting research and analysis on technical accounting issues, developing papers and presenting then to the IASB, engaging with stakeholders, and contributing to the development and drafting of new or amended IFRS Accounting Standards.

The team

Part of the IASB Technical staff.

Principal accountabilities

As part of a project team, contribute to the development of:

• technical proposals for consideration by the IASB, facilitating the IASB’s decision‑making through evidence‑based research, internal and external consultation and drafting of public Board papers
• a range of documents and communications for internal and external use, including public consultation documents and new or amended Standards.
• Consult with a wide range of external stakeholders from industry and the accounting, investment, regulatory and standard-setting communities, to ascertain their views and to share information.
  • Provide general project support to senior staff and the IASB.
  • Contribute to relevant committees and working groups.
  • Undertake technical project administrative matters

Qualifications & experience

Qualified accountant with strong technical and practical experience in applying IFRS Accounting Standards.
