Job summary

Synechron is seeking an IAM Technical Lead to support Project Orbit – NextGen, a global Identity Security transformation. You will own the technical design for the IAM workstream, driving secure, scalable identity services across the organization.

The role requires leadership across architects, engineers, security and operations, with strong Zero Trust experience and hands-on delivery in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in enterprise Identity and Access Management and identity security.
• Experience leading IAM transformation and security engineering.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust architectures and identity-first security.
• Experience with policy-as-code, API security, cloud-native security, and event-driven identity integrations.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery, backlog management, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical solution and architecture for the IAM workstream.
• Define and maintain High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs).
• Lead technical decisions, technology selection, and solution reviews.
• Ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture, security, regulatory, and technology standards.
• Drive adoption of Zero Trust and identity-first design principles.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to engineering teams.
• Review designs, code, infra changes, and implementation plans.
• Manage risks, assumptions, dependencies, and delivery constraints.
• Coordinate integration with internal teams and third-party suppliers.
• Support planning, estimation, backlog, and delivery governance.
• Define non-functional requirements covering availability, resilience, performance, scalability, observability, and security.
• Ensure production-readiness and operability.
• Support architecture governance and technical steering groups.
• Champion engineering best practices, DevSecOps, automation, and improvement.
• Facilitate discussions, workshops, walkthroughs, and stakeholder reviews.
• Contribute to documentation and operating procedures.
