Job summary

Hamilton Barnes seeks an IAM (Python) Developer for a hybrid role based in London or Glasgow. You will develop production-quality Python scripts and tooling for automation and data processing, while supporting PingDS (ForgeRock DS) across migration and production tasks.

The role covers Linux/RHEL administration, CI/CD automation, and secure coding practices within a modern DevOps environment. Strong knowledge of IAM protocols and REST/JSON is required for successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Python scripting for automation, data processing, and tooling.
• Experience supporting PingDS or ForgeRock DS platforms across migration and production support.
• Working knowledge of Linux/RHEL, filesystem, networking, and log analysis.
• Strong understanding of LDAP/LDAPS, SCIM, REST APIs, JSON, TLS/cert management, and IAM security fundamentals.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, Python packaging, Ansible, Terraform, and AI-assisted coding tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop production-quality Python scripts, utilities, and APIs for automation and data processing.
• Support IAM and Directory Services platforms, including PingDS, across migration and production activities.
• Administer Linux/RHEL environments, including filesystem management and performance troubleshooting.
• Automate migration, deployment, validation, and monitoring within CI/CD pipelines using Python and shell scripting.
• Contribute to engineering practices: Git, Python packaging, testing, and secure coding standards.
