Job summary

Warden Tyne Solutions Ltd in the North East is seeking an experienced Freelance MEP Project Manager (Electrical) to lead the electrical package on a major hyperscale data centre project. You will oversee design coordination, installation management and critical power systems, ensuring safety, programme and quality.

The role requires strong technical knowledge of MV/HV distribution, standby generation and busbar, plus proven ability to coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams across

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Mechanical Project Manager in MEP/building services.
• Strong data centre construction experience essential, hyperscale preferred.
• Deep knowledge of electrical building services and MV/HV distribution.
• Experience managing electrical subcontractors and coordinating installation packages.
• Excellent communication and proactive problem-solving skills.
• Experience with design coordination and RFIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical package delivery, ensuring safety, schedule, and quality.
• Coordinate installation activities with subcontractors and site teams.
• Manage critical power infrastructure including distribution and standby generation.
• Review drawings and specifications, resolve RFIs and design queries.
• Coordinate interfaces with ME, CSA, BIM leads and other package teams.
• Maintain lookahead programmes and procurement tracking.
• Oversee commissioning and handover documentation.
• Monitor progress and report issues affecting programme or quality.
