Job summary

Verto People in London is seeking a Data Centre EHSQ Senior Manager to establish and lead health, safety and quality standards for a hyperscale AI infrastructure business delivering complex data centre environments. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who can create frameworks from the ground up while remaining closely involved with site delivery.

The role combines strategic ownership with practical site engagement.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on EHS or quality management experience in construction/industrial delivery.
• Experience on data centre projects or high‑complexity builds.
• Willingness to travel to sites and engage with contractors and delivery teams.
• Experience creating, implementing or improving EHS standards and quality processes.
• Strong incident investigation and continuous improvement experience.
• Proactive hands‑on approach in a changing environment.
• NEBOSH or an equivalent EHS qualification is desirable.
• Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop EHS and quality standards, inspection processes and ITP methodologies from the ground up.
• Carry out site audits and assess contractor safety and quality performance.
• Lead incident investigations and deliver lessons learned across projects.
• Embed health, safety and quality requirements into contractor and RFP processes.
• Work closely with project stakeholders to maintain consistent standards across delivery activities.
• Support the future growth of the EHS function, including recruitment of regional EHS managers as required.
• Maintain a practical, site-focused approach to identifying and resolving issues before they impact delivery.
