Job summary

Skilled Careers is seeking an exceptional Project Director to lead the delivery of a major hyperscale data centre development from inception to operational readiness. This high-profile programme is technically complex and capital-intensive, with international stakeholders, consultants, contractors and specialist suppliers.

The successful candidate will provide senior leadership across the entire project lifecycle, owning programme delivery, commercial performance, quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Must possess senior leadership capabilities across large, complex projects.
• Experience delivering hyperscale data centre programmes preferred.
• Strong governance, reporting and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for the delivery of a hyperscale data centre programme.
• Take full accountability for project performance, programme, cost, quality, safety and delivery outcomes.
• Lead and coordinate the client, design team, main contractor, specialist contractors and key suppliers.
• Establish and maintain robust governance, reporting and project controls.
• Drive programme strategy and ensure critical milestones are achieved.
• Oversee design development, procurement, construction, commissioning and operational readiness.
• Proactively identify and manage programme risks, interfaces, dependencies and opportunities.
• Provide decisive leadership in resolving complex technical, commercial and programme issues.
• Maintain strong relationships with senior client representatives and internal stakeholders.
• Challenge performance and drive continuous improvement across the delivery team.
• Ensure the project is delivered in accordance with contractual requirements.
