Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Stroke Consultant Physician to support the development of hyper acute stroke care and a shared care model with Somerset. 1 wte (10 sessions per week) is requested, with involvement in thrombolysis and 24-hour acute stroke responsibilities.

The role focuses on day-to-day stroke care, ongoing transformation of services and participation in education and research within a growing Stroke Team.

Responsabilidades

• In-patient and out-patient care for patients with suspected stroke or TIA.
• Participate in audits, research and governance to maintain high care standards.
• Contribute to a 24-hour acute stroke service delivering thrombolysis and advising on treatments.
• Join weekend and public holiday consultant ward rounds.
• Provide clinical advice for community stroke services as required.
• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching as appropriate.
• Contribute to clinical quality and effectiveness across overlapping stroke care areas.
