Job summary

True North Talent Limited is working with an established food manufacturer in West Yorkshire to appoint a Hygiene Supervisor who will take ownership of hygiene standards, systems and processes across the site.

You will review current operations, identify improvements and lead the hygiene team to drive day-to-day hygiene, training and documentation, with autonomy to implement practical changes on the factory floor.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within hygiene in a food manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading, training and developing a hygiene team.
• Strong understanding of factory cleaning and hygiene requirements.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, chemical control and COSHH.
• Experience working with cleaning schedules, procedures and hygiene documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day hygiene operation and ensure consistently high standards across the site.
• Supervise, support and develop the hygiene team.
• Manage and review cleaning schedules, procedures and hygiene standards.
• Ensure cleaning activities are completed effectively, safely and to the required standard.
• Review existing hygiene processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assess effectiveness of cleaning chemicals, equipment and methods and recommend changes.
