Job summary

Cook Trading Limited is seeking a Hygiene Supervisor in Sittingbourne, Kent, to lead a team of porters and cleaners, uphold hygiene standards, and ensure a safe, efficient environment for producing remarkable food.

You will coach night shift, manage stock and supplies, document records, and help drive sustainability and customer safety, with benefits including lunch, parking, staff discounts, and more.

Qualifications

• Experience in hygiene management within food production.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Inspire your team of Porters and Cleaners (including night shift) to take pride in their work.
• Ensure hygiene tasks are planned, completed, and compliant with food safety, H&S, and regulations.
• Maintain clean, safe spaces that enable others to perform well.
• Manage cleaning stock, PPE, and chemical supplies responsibly.
• Find efficient, cost-aware ways to keep standards high.
• Collaborate with other departments to prepare equipment and spaces for use.
• Keep hygiene records accurately reflecting standards and practices.
• Uphold positive, proactive problem-solving and staff development.

HYGIENE SUPERVISOR

Location:Sittingbourne, Kent -COOK Classics

Hours:Monday - Friday 2pm - 10pm

Pay rate :£30732 per year £15.76 per hour

The Role

• Inspiring your team* – coaching Porters and Cleaners (including night shift) to take pride in their work, stay motivated, and feel part of something bigger
• Championing standards* – ensuring hygiene tasks are planned, completed, and compliant with food safety, H&S, and legal regulations
• Creating calm and confidence* – maintaining clean, safe spaces that allow others to do their best work
• Taking ownership* – managing cleaning stock, PPE, and chemical supplies responsibly and efficiently
• Improving the system* – finding smart, sustainable ways to keep standards high and costs low
• Supporting cross-team success* – working with other departments to make sure equipment and spaces are ready for action
• Documenting with care* – keeping hygiene records that reflect the pride we take in every detail
