Job summary

The Best Connection Group is recruiting a Hygiene Operative to join a major food manufacturing operation in the Pontypool area. You will help uphold high hygiene standards to ensure safe, quality products for leading UK retailers.

This is a hands-on role in a busy production environment with full training and a clear path to permanent employment. Shift pattern is 4 on 4 off, 05:00 to 17:00, paying £13.05 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience within hygiene, cleaning, manufacturing or food production is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
• Reliable, dependable and committed to quality work
• Comfortable working in a busy, hands-on environment
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
• A proactive approach and good work ethic

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitising production machinery and equipment
• Maintaining excellent hygiene standards throughout production areas
• Operating industrial cleaning equipment, including jet washers and foam cleaning systems
• Following cleaning schedules and site procedures
• Using cleaning products safely and effectively
• Completing hygiene records and documentation accurately
• Identifying and reporting maintenance, quality or safety concerns
• Contributing to a clean, safe and efficient production environment
