Job summary

Greencore Bow in London is seeking a part-time Hygiene Operative (5 on 2 off) to maintain production area cleanliness and uphold hygiene standards.

The role covers equipment cleaning, safe chemical use under COSHH, and thorough deep cleans according to schedules, with attention to paperwork and safety culture. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Proficient in general warehouse hygiene duties and equipment cleaning.
• Able to follow COSHH regulations and logbook entries.
• Strong health, safety and environmental awareness.
• Good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Undertake hygiene tasks including cleaning equipment to hygiene standards.

What you'll be doing:

• In this role, you will undertake hygiene tasks including the cleaning of equipment within production areas to the required hygiene standard.
• Use all chemicals appropriately and safely according to the COSHH regulations
• Deep cleaning of relevant areas following the cleaning schedule, as and when required
• Ensure that all paperwork is completed accurately and submitted to the correct personnel
• Follow work instructions highlighting any issues to the Hygiene Manager
• Promote a good health, safety and environmental culture within the department Identify

What we’re looking for:

• Proficient in performing general warehouse hygiene duties, including the assembly and disassembly of machinery for thorough cleaning
• Strict adherence to written approved procedures for hygiene tasks, with attention to completing logbook entries by company standards
• Promotion of a strong culture of health, safety, and environmental awareness within the department
• Effective communication abilities, both in reading and writing
• Experience working in a role involving manual handling desired
• Experience of working in a food production environment is desired, but not always essential
• Cleaning experience preferred but not essential
