Job summary

Whitworths in Irthlingborough is seeking a Hygiene Operative to help keep our site clean, safe and ready to deliver every day. This hands-on role requires attention to detail and a commitment to high standards across factories, warehouses, offices and external areas.

You’ll complete scheduled cleaning, support with reactive cleaning, manage waste, run laundry duties and keep hygiene records. Experience in food manufacturing is helpful; Food Safety Level 2 is an advantage but not essential.

Qualifications

• Organised and able to complete tasks to schedule.

Responsibilities

• Completing scheduled daily, weekly and periodic cleaning across the site.
• Supporting with reactive cleaning when extra help is needed.
• Collecting, segregating site waste.
• Managing daily laundry requirements and litter-picking duties.
• Completing hygiene records accurately and on time.
• Following all food safety, personal hygiene and health and safety procedures.
• Supporting customer visits and external audits.
• Working closely with colleagues across Hygiene, Operations and Supply Chain to keep things running smoothly.
