Job summary

Greencore Group plc is hiring a Hygiene Operative at our Spalding site. You will clean all food manufacturing areas and equipment to meet hygiene standards, following daily and deep-clean routines and recording completed work.

You must wear full PPE, work in chilled and hot environments, and contribute to a strong health and safety culture. Training is provided, with COSHH/HACCP knowledge advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications

• Anybody can do this role as training and education will be provided.
• A basic understanding of English, both verbal and written is a must.
• COSHH and HACCP knowledge is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily cleaning of all factory areas as part of a team.
• Schedule deep cleaning of large machinery.
• Wear full PPE including chemical suit, visor, wellingtons, gloves and goggles.
• Work in chilled and hot environments.
• Fill out paperwork to document the cleans.
• Promote health and safety culture within the workplace.
• Use and store chemicals safely.
• Report damaged equipment or machinery.

Job description

As a Hygiene Operative you be required to undertake all aspects of cleaning all food manufacturing areas, equipment and machinery to meet food hygiene standards. You will be carrying out the consistent application of hygiene within a given area/line to make sure the area is maintained to the agreed standards. It'll be part of your job to ensure that all sanitation processes are completed in full and that hygiene standards for a given area are maintained during the production shift. Some duties include:

• Carry out Daily Cleaning of all areas of the factory as part of a team
• To schedule Deep cleaning of large machinery
• Wearing full PPE such as : Chemical suit, Visor, Wellingtons, Gloves and Safety goggles
• Working in Chilled and Hot environments
• Filling out Paperwork to document the cleans
• Promote good health and safety culture within the work place
• Use of/and storage of chemicals
• Reporting of any damaged equipment or machinery

Anybody is able to do this role as training and education will be provided. Previous experience is an advantage but not a necessity. A basic understanding of English, both verbal and written is a must. Any background with COSHH and HACCP is highly advantageous but not a necessity.
