Job summary

Hollybank Trustees Ltd in Newry is seeking Hygiene Operatives to support the Newry site. Shifts start at 3pm Monday to Thursday, and 1pm Friday until finish.

The role requires flexibility and a willingness to work additional hours when required, with training and PPE provided to maintain high hygiene standards. You will work with the Hygiene team to complete daily hygiene to a high standard and perform duties such as cleaning factory equipment, adhering to safety regulations, reporting

Qualifications

• Experience in hygiene or food processing is desirable.
• Willingness to work shift-based hours.
• Ability to follow safety and GMP guidelines.
• Comfort with PPE and varied cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Clean all factory equipment to high standard using provided PPE.

Job Role:

We require Hygiene Operatives to work in our Newry Site. Working from 3pm, Monday to Thursday, and 1pm Friday until finish, this roles requires flexibility and a willingness to work additional hours when required.

Working with the Hygiene team to complete the daily hygiene to a high standard.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensuring all the equipment in the factory (machinery, belts, etc.) are cleaned to the high standard - full training and PPE will be provided.
• To adhere to safe working practices in accordance with legislation and company rules and regulations.
• Promptly report any accidents, incidents or near misses to your manager or supervisor.
• Report to your Manager/Supervisor of the area concerned any maintenance requirements.
• To work in a manner as to prevent or minimize the risk of accidents.
• To adhere to current legislation with regards to safe food production.
• To comply with manages/supervisors instructions in a timely manner.
• To ensure full understanding of all instructions given and ask for clarification if necessary.
• To be responsible for the security and effective use of consumables during day-to-day activities.
• To undertake such other reasonable duties as may from time to time be required.
• Carry out out all duties with respect for Health and Safety and housekeeping standards and regulations.
• Observe Company Policy on flexibility by moving to any other job necessary.
• Undertake training/retraining and train other employees as required.
• Undertake Chemical training at ABP Newry.
• Observe Company philosophy on proposals and continuous improvement for the betterment of plant, methods, working environment and efficiency.
