Job summary

NextGen Recruits is seeking a Hygiene Operative to clean machinery and factory areas within a leading UK free-range and organic egg business, spanning farming, packing, and processing at the Egg Innovation Centre.

You will follow GMP, COSHH, and PPE protocols, ensuring safe chemical handling and adherence to food safety procedures while supporting a strong health and safety culture.

Qualifications

• Detail‑oriented, methodical approach to tasks.
• Well‑organised and able to work under pressure.
• Strong team player with good organisational skills.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Previous experience in hygiene or cleaning roles is essential.
• Warehouse experience is advantageous but not required.

Job description

Hours: 4 on, 4 off shift pattern - 20:30hrs - 06:00hrs

Company transport provided from Swindon or Chippenham

As a Hygiene Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of machinery and factory areas. You will be working with one of the UK's leading free‑range and organic egg businesses, with operations spanning farming, packing, and processing. You will be supporting them within their Egg Innovation Centre (EIC).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of machinery and factory areas.
• Maintain high standards of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Handle chemicals safely in compliance with COSHH regulations.
• Adhere to company hygiene and food safety procedures.
• Always ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Actively contribute to health and safety policies, ensuring your safety and that of your colleagues.
