Job summary

Noble Foods Home of the Happy Egg Company in Leicester is seeking a Hygiene Team Leader to keep the site clean, safe and audit-ready. You will manage a team, drive health and safety, and ensure strict adherence to the Hygiene Plan.

Responsibilities include leading hygiene operatives, managing performance, handling chemicals safely, performing high/low risk cleaning, and ensuring all safety paperwork and HACCP guidelines are followed. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing and leading a team.
• Ability to work autonomously and make decisions.
• Commitment to hygiene, health & safety, and quality standards.
• Full training will be provided for the role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety standards are met and the team works safely.
• Lead Hygiene Operatives to high standards.
• End-to-end line management including absence and performance management and training.
• Follow the Hygiene Plan carefully and consistently.
• Carry out high/low risk cleaning tasks on equipment, walls, floors and conveyors.
• Strip down and clean factory machinery.
• Use cleaning chemicals at correct concentrations per CICs.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Complete all hygiene and safety paperwork accurately and on time.
• Read and follow guidelines related to chemicals, equipment and HACCP.
• Ensure the site is audit-ready at all times in line with customer specs.

Contract Type: Full-Time Permanent

Salary: £16.57 p/h

What are we looking for?

As a Hygiene Team Leader, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our site clean, safe, and audit-ready at all times.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensure Health and Safety standards are consistently met and your team always works safely
• Managing and leading a team of Hygiene Operatives to delivery high standards
• End to end line management including absence and performance management and training and development of your team
• Following the site Hygiene Plan carefully and consistently
• Carrying out High Risk and Low Risk cleaning tasks, including:
  • Cleaning equipment, walls, floors, overheads, and conveyor belts
  • Using scrubbing and sweeping equipment
• Stripping down and cleaning factory machinery
• Using cleaning chemicals at the correct concentrations, following Cleaning Instruction Cards (CICs)
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Safely handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Completing all hygiene and safety paperwork accurately and on time
• Reading, understanding, and following all guidelines relating to chemicals, equipment, and HACCP procedures
• The site is committed to being “audit-ready” at all times. Therefore it is imperative that site hygiene, health & safety, and document control are all in line with customer specifications at all times.
