Job summary

Dovecote Park, a family business based in Yorkshire, is seeking a Hygiene Operative to join our Pontefract site. You will work Monday to Friday 7:00–16:00, using cleaning chemicals and PPE to maintain hygiene standards across the factory.

The role requires the ability to work independently or as part of a team and to thrive in a physically demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced environments and adherence to safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently or within a team to hit targets.
• Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Comfort with PPE and cleaning chemicals in a factory setting.

Responsibilities

• Clean using chemicals and PPE while maintaining hygiene standards.
• Operate cleaning equipment and low-pressure systems safely.
• Ensure all machinery in the area is safe before cleaning starts.
• Deep clean factory areas following procedure and rebuild equipment as needed.
• Meet tight timeframes while delivering quality cleaning.

Role:

• Working with chemicals and wearing full PPE.
• Working with cleaning solutions, materials, and cleaning equipment e.g., low pressure system.
• Checking that all machinery and equipment in the area is in a safe state before starting the cleaning.
• Deep cleaning of the Factory to procedure, stripping and rebuilding equipment.
• Working to procedure within a tight time scale delivering quality cleaning.
