Job summary

Staffline in Wrexham is seeking a Hygiene Operative to join the team. You will help ensure daily hygiene operations meet production needs and targets.

The role requires reliability, the ability to stand for long periods, and strict adherence to hygiene procedures. Full training is provided and overtime is available. This position includes day and night shifts with on-site support.

Qualifications

• Experience in hygiene or cleaning roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep production and external areas clean and tidy.
• Clean machines and equipment to high hygiene standards following policies and procedures.
• Report any hygiene target shortfalls to Supervisor in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean area (work, changing room, canteen) respecting safety and hygiene rules.
• Assist during internal/external audits as required.

Hygiene Operative – Wrexham

We're looking for a reliable and focused Hygiene Operative to join our team in Wrexham. You'll ensure the smooth running of the day‑to‑day hygiene operations to fulfil business/department needs and targets.

Our client is a professional yet friendly company that specialises in making and developing chilled meals for the top UK supermarkets, making over 3.7 million chilled meals every week.

Pay and Overtime

Rate of pay:

• Days £12.71 per hour
• Nights £13.50 per hour

Overtime is available at this site and is paid at:

• Days £19.07 per hour
• Nights £20.25 per hour

Hours of Work

• 06:00am to 18:00pm
• 18:00pm to 06:00am

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of Manager / Supervisor, ensure that the production and external areas are kept clean and tidy.
• Carry out machine and equipment cleaning to high hygiene standards following correct policies and procedures in line with training.
• Ensure that any hygiene targets set by the Manager / Supervisor are met; or if this is not possible, shortfalls are reported to the relevant person in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and tidy area (work, changing room, canteen etc), meeting both safety and hygiene regulations of the site.
• Carry out training commensurate with the area, including regular refresher/update training as and when required.
• Report any equipment defects immediately to the Supervisor.
• Assist during internal/external audits as required.
• Adhere to all Company Rules and Policies.
• Maintain high levels of work performance, including attendance, timekeeping etc.
• Assist in loading and unloading of laundry and support in laundry and facilities cleaning activities

Ideal Candidate

Our ideal worker will be physically fit, comfortable standing for the duration of their shift, perform repetitive cleaning tasks, lift and move equipment or materials, and work in a fast‑paced environment while following hygiene and safety procedures.

Applicants will be reliable, hardworking, and detail‑oriented, with a strong commitment to hygiene, safety, and maintaining high cleaning standards. Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential as full training is provided.
