Job summary

Morrisons is seeking a Manufacturing Key Operative - Hygiene at one of our manufacturing sites. You will deep clean machines, dismantle, clean and re-build on multiple lines to ensure hygienic operations and safe, efficient production.

You will set up systems, calibrate equipment, and follow GMP and COSHH training for chemical handling, contributing to production readiness and product quality. Shift patterns include 12-hour cycles or Thu-Sun 10-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• COSHH training (required for chemical handling)
• Food safety awareness (level not mandatory)
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced production environment

Responsibilities

• Deep clean, dismantle, clean and rebuild machines on multiple production lines to ensure hygienic operation.
• Set up and calibrate equipment and systems for production readiness.
• Follow good manufacturing practices and safety policies, including chemical handling per COSHH training.
• Adapt to varying temperatures and shifts in a production setting while maintaining quality standards.

More about the role

As Manufacturing Key Operative - Hygiene at one of our manufacturing sites, you'll work within our Production team to deep clean the machines, allowing us to produce quality products in a safe, efficient and hygienic environment.

You'll use trained skills to physically dismantle, clean and re-build machines on multiple production lines, as well as conducting system set up and calibrations. You'll follow good manufacturing practices and will help to make sure that machines are production ready, as well as managing chemicals in accordance with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) training.

We have two shift patterns available:

• Working 3 on, 3 off working 12 hour shifts, or

• Working Thursday to Sunday, 10 hour shifts

You'll be the kind of person who:

• Enjoys working in a fast paced environment and within a team
• Is open to working in a production environment with varying temperatures of approximately 8 degrees and below
• Is able to follow relevant business and site policies such as Health and Safety and Food Safety standards
• Is flexible, adaptable and able to work under pressure
• Has Food Safety Level 2 (not essential)
