Job summary

MorePeople is recruiting a Hygiene Manager for a leading fresh produce business in the Preston area. Working Monday to Friday days, you will lead on-site hygiene to the highest standards, ensuring compliance with COSHH, HACCP and customer requirements throughout the factory.

You will develop and implement hygiene policies, conduct audits and inspections, train hygiene personnel, manage cleaning chemicals and equipment, and collaborate with production and quality teams to embed hygiene into daily

Qualifications

• Experience leading a Hygiene team in food manufacturing.
• Deep knowledge of COSHH and HACCP.
• Understanding of food safety regulations and customer requirements.

A leading fresh produce business, dedicated to producing high-quality products is seeking a dynamic and experienced Hygiene Manager to join their team, working Monday - Friday days and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the factory.

As the Hygiene Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective hygiene practices on site. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment, complying with BRC and customer requirements, and upholding their commitment to producing outstanding products.

The main responsibilities for this Hygiene Manager position include:

• Develop and implement hygiene policies, procedures, and standards in accordance with industry regulations and best practices.
• Conduct regular hygiene audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with production and quality control teams to integrate hygiene practices into daily operations.
• Manage and lead a team of hygiene personnel, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure the team operates efficiently.
• Oversee the selection and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment, ensuring they meet safety and regulatory standards.
• Monitor and control hygiene-related budgets, ensuring cost-effective practices without compromising on quality.

As the ideal candidate you will have experience leading a Hygiene team within the food manufacturing / fresh produce sector, in depth knowledge of COSHH, HACCP and food safety regulations.
