Greencore Northampton is seeking a Deep Clean Operative to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic food manufacturing environment at our Northampton site. The role involves performing general cleaning duties, dismantling and cleaning production machinery, and ensuring records reflect hygiene standards.

You will join a fast-paced team, following strict health and safety guidelines and contributing to high-quality product output across Unit A and D shifts.

Competenze

• Experience in a food manufacturing or hygiene environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain high hygiene standards.
• Good reading and writing skills for records and paperwork.
• Able to work as part of a team and independently in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Pattern/ Time: Unit A -Saturday to Wednesday/ Thursday to Monday from 14:00 to 22:30. Unit D - Friday to Tuesday / Wednesday to Sunday from 14:00 - 22:30

Rate:£14.84 p/h

What you'll be doing

As a Deep clean operative,you will play an important part in maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic food manufacturing environment, ensuring that our production areas, equipment and facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety and hygiene.

• Carrying out general cleaning duties in production areas and equipment, following cleaning instructions to maintain good hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Using cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly, following training and site procedures, and reporting any damage or issues to your manager.
• Completing any required cleaning records or paperwork accurately and following site hygiene and safety rules.* Dismantling, cleaning and reassembling production machinery and equipment to the required hygiene standards, within agreed changeover times.
• Carrying out scheduled and periodic deep cleans, checking sanitiser concentrations and ensuring cleaning equipment and chemicals are used, stored and managed safely.
• Following hygiene procedures, completing cleaning records accurately and reporting any issues to your manager, while supporting other areas as required and maintaining high standards of health, safety and hygiene.

What we’re looking for

• Can carry out general cleaning and hygiene duties, follow instructions and procedures, and complete basic cleaning records accurately.
• Has good communication skills, reading and writing abilities, and understands the importance of maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health and safety
• Is comfortable carrying out practical tasks, including manual handling.
• Has previous experience in a food manufacturing or hygiene environment, with technical and practical experience of dismantling, cleaning and reassembling production machinery and equipment.
• Has a good understanding of food hygiene, health and safety procedures, with the ability to follow detailed cleaning instructions, use industrial cleaning chemicals safely and complete hygiene records accurately
• Has strong attention to detail and can work independently and as part of a team, using their initiative to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in a fast‑paced, chilled manufacturing environment
