Greencore Northampton is looking for a Deep Clean Operative to join our busy food manufacturing site. You will perform essential cleaning duties, dismantle, clean and reassemble equipment to high hygiene standards, and maintain accurate records while following health and safety rules.

Experience in food manufacturing or hygiene environments is valued. The role offers on-site work, training, and development opportunities within our Greencore network.

Shift Pattern/ Time: Unit A - Saturday to Wednesday/ Thursday to Monday from 14:00 to 22:30
Unit D - Friday to Tuesday / Wednesday to Sunday from 14:00 - 22:30

Rate: £14.84 p/h

Location: Greencore Northampton 15-17 Deer Park Road, NN3 6RX

What you'll be doing

• As a Deep clean operative, you will play an important part in maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic food manufacturing environment, ensuring that our production areas, equipment and facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety and hygiene.
• Carrying out general cleaning duties in production areas and equipment, following cleaning instructions to maintain good hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Using cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly, following training and site procedures, and reporting any damage or issues to your manager.
• Completing any required cleaning records or paperwork accurately and following site hygiene and safety rules.* Dismantling, cleaning and reassembling production machinery and equipment to the required hygiene standards, within agreed changeover times.
• Carrying out scheduled and periodic deep cleans, checking sanitiser concentrations and ensuring cleaning equipment and chemicals are used, stored and managed safely.
• Following hygiene procedures, completing cleaning records accurately and reporting any issues to your manager, while supporting other areas as required and maintaining high standards of health, safety and hygiene.

What we're looking for

• Can carry out general cleaning and hygiene duties, follow instructions and procedures, and complete basic cleaning records accurately.
• Has good communication skills, reading and writing abilities, and understands the importance of maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health and safety
• Is comfortable carrying out practical tasks, including manual handling.
• Has previous experience in a food manufacturing or hygiene environment, with technical and practical experience of dismantling, cleaning and reassembling production machinery and equipment.
• Has a good understanding of food hygiene, health and safety procedures, with the ability to follow detailed cleaning instructions, use industrial cleaning chemicals safely and complete hygiene records accurately
• Has strong attention to detail and can work independently and as part of a team, using their initiative to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in a fast-paced, chilled manufacturing environment
