Job summary

Premier Foods is seeking a Hygiene Co-ordinator at their Moreton site in Wirral. You will ensure PPE and workwear are readily available, support the hygiene team, and help maintain high food safety standards across the shift.

In this role you will plan labour for the hygiene team, manage stock of chemicals and cleaning materials, and ensure due diligence documentation is completed accurately. Monday to Friday, with shifts 06:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00, circa £36,000 per year.

Qualifications

• HACCP, Food Safety and Quality Assurance knowledge, including Auditing.
• Self-motivated and capable of using own initiative.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Proficient IT skills, including spreadsheets.
• Experience with modern manufacturing practices and industrial cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Manage the site laundry room, ensure PPE/workwear availability and issuance.
• Carry out cleaning activities per SOPs and safe systems of work.
• Plan labour within the hygiene team to ensure coverage of tasks.
• Support management in labour planning and ensure training is up to date.
• Stock control and ordering of chemicals, workwear, PPE and hygiene materials.
• Complete required documents for due diligence.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 06:00 to 14:00 alternating weekly with 14:00 to 22:00

Salary: Circa £36,000 per annum including co-ordinator and shift allowances

As our Hygiene Co-ordinator, you will proactively play a key role in ensuring all PPE and workwear is readily available and issued to your colleagues.

A core responsibility of the role is to support the training requirements and labour planning within the hygiene team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing the site laundry room, ensuring availability of required PPE and workwear and issuing to all colleagues.
• Carrying out cleaning activities as required, using SOP, CICs and safe systems of work.
• Planning labour within the hygiene team to ensure all tasks are covered.
• Supporting management in labour planning to ensure all tasks are covered; and training is up to date.
• Stock control and ordering of chemicals, workwear, PPE and any other hygiene materials.
• Completing documents as required for due diligence.

What we need from you

• An understanding of HACCP, Food Safety and Quality Assurance, including Auditing.
• To be self-motivated and capable of using own initiative.
• Good communication and organisation skills.
• Proficient use of IT skills, spreadsheets.
• Experience of modern manufacturing practices and industrial cleaning.
