Job summary

Pennon Group's Hydrology team is seeking a skilled Hydrologist to provide specialist expertise in water resource management, environmental compliance and strategic planning across Bournemouth Water, Bristol Water, South West Water and SES Water.

You will lead hydrological assessments for WINEP, WRMP and drought plans, analyse modelling outputs, ensure licensing compliance and collaborate with regulators and external consultants.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of catchment hydrology and water resources management.
• Experience undertaking hydrological assessments, analysis and technical reviews.
• Experience analysing and interpreting hydrometric datasets.
• Ability to produce high‑quality technical reports and present complex information clearly.
• Experience supporting low flow studies, drought assessments and water resource investigations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical hydrological leadership for key statutory programmes including WINEP, WRMP and Drought Plan development.
• Analyse hydrological data and modelling outputs for decision making.
• Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and licences.
• Support hydrology across Bournemouth Water, Bristol Water, South West Water and SES Water.
• Collaborate with regulators and external consultants.
